With the Holiday Season fast approaching and the long winter nights that accompany the holidays, we thought it might be amusing to look at some fun online slots to while away these long nights. Just because it is Christmas time, does not mean to say that Christmas themed slots should be always be played, although there are plenty of these games to go around. So, we took a look around and came up with a list of our own. The first game we want to touch base with is Boom Brothers from Net Entertainment – this game is a total blast – pun intended!

It is about the Boom Brothers obviously – three rather industrious dwarves who own a massive mine. What do you get with mix of these boys with lots of high-explosives? BOOM! That’s right – this banging video slot game is high-explosive fun, so, strap your miners light to your helmet, and get ready for a crazy co-co-pan ride to mine for your fortune.

Firstly the slot game is graphically splendiferous – is there such a word? There is now! It is a 3D slot, but not like anything we have ever seen before. The game opens up to an introduction that is worthy of Pixar, or any recent release animated film, so, things get started off really well and end up even better. As a natural extension of the film sequence the game gets you into the mood for cutting-edge features, and state-of-the-art graphics. The only problem this slot game has is; it might spoil your fun with future inferior products.

It is hard to describe how the reels are illustrated, you really need to see for yourself, and the beauty of playing at Net Entertainment casinos is that all their games may be played in fun mode. So, do yourself a favour check it out. It is a 20 pay-line video slot with a free spins mode where winnings are tripled, and a Dwarf railway bonus round which is nothing short of fantastic. Dig in now with Boom Brothers and ante up for an adventure under-ground.

Boom Brothers features a wide coin range so all real money players are catered for, from the low to the high roller. This is €.01 to €100. There are a number of great bonus features including the wild symbol – represented by a ticking bomb. This icon replaces all icons apart from free spins which triple your winnings, and the rail-track bonus. The rail-track bonus is by far the most unique feature – land five of these icons and they will quadruple your wager as well as activate the bonus game. The aim of the bonus game is to drive the dwarf and his co-co-pan through 5 steps to bag the bonus prize. This bonus round also gets you to the Big Boom Brothers bonus game. This bonus game is where the boys race to be first to blast the rock face apart, and of course to win the big jackpot.

Are you ready for some dynamite online video slots fun?

It often appears as though the United States goes round and round, and then comes in the back door again, when their politics are under the microscope. With regard to internet gambling and the politics behind this industry, no-one quite knows where they stand. The fact that big business is now taking noteof the political games, may mean we are getting closer to Federal regulation but then again it might not.

As far back as May of 2009 – Rep. Barney Frank, introduced 3 bills into Congress to ostensibly legalize, tax and regulate online gambling in the US. Under the Secretary of the Treasury, these Bills do create a federal regulatory system, but their true nature dictates that online gambling operators be licensed and controlled in the most part by Nevada.

In August, 2009, Sen. Robert Menendez introduced his proposed Internet gambling Bill. This is somewhat similar to the basic structure of the Frank Bills. More recent attempts have come from Sen’s.Ron Wyden and Judd Gregg, in February 2010. Rep. Jim McDermott filed his Internet Gambling Regulation and Tax Enforcement Act too.

All of this activity suggests that there is movement in Congress, and has led many investors, including foreign online poker operators, to believe that they may be able to take advantage of a newly legalized online gambling industry in the US. However, all of these Bills and many more that have appeared along the way – carry provisions which make it extremely difficult for foreign competition either re-enter or continue legally in the U.S. market. Hence the reason for the Bwin.party, MGM/Boyd JV. The only Bill which expressly opens the door to foreign operators is the Menendez Bill, and this has no co-sponsor.

The truth of the matter is that while politics may be the art of compromise, the laws are still made by people. Despite the bills that have been put forward, very few people who matter; care about online gambling, despite its claim as a huge revenue generating industry. There are still some republicans who strongly oppose any form of gambling as well as the proposers for it. However by strange coincidence Barney Frank is in a position of power – he is the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, and is also one of the first members of congress who is openly gay. He therefore has very strong principles about the Government deciding what people do in the privacy of their own homes – online gambling takes place in the privacy of one’s home.

Harry Reid, who represents Nevada, is the Majority Leader of the Senate – also cares enough about the online gambling issue to keep it alive. However, and this is a big however, both Reid and Frank were expected to get their online gambling bills pushed through congress by mid-2010, and this did not happen. So, we are still in a position, at the end of 2011, where politics score big time and the online gambling score is still nil. Just like at the end of 2010, we now have to wait it out and see what transpires again in the New Year of 2012.
